i have yet to have it crash...
however last update it didn't start crashing till way later on.

but as the captain said above...
on Wednesday we r gonna be able to use the original apple fw instead of a custom fw...
and all this will not matter, cause it will work properly.

I have also installed 0.2a and it seems to have resolved the crashing issue with YouTube. But it still won't show any carriers other than o2. I have tried with SIMs from Virgin (which uses the T-Mobile network but used to show "Virgin"), Three (used to show "3") and Gibtel (Gibraltar Telecom, roams to Vodafone in the UK and used to show "Vodafone".) All work correctly but none shows a carrier name.

I had a look in Settings>General>About, and when using the o2 SIM the carrier is shown as "O2 5.0". With the other three SIMs it just shows "5.0" with no carrier name. The phone was supplied as an o2 exclusive in the UK, and I activated it with the official o2 SIM provided, then jailbroke and unlocked with Ultrasn0w, so I don't know if this could be a factor. But before the 3.1.2 jailbreak the carrier names of the other networks were correctly displayed.

Much more interesting though is your reference to fw on Wednesday and the Captain! I can't find any reference to this; could you possibly tell me more? Thank you!

cause this carrier image issue is a side-effect of the custom ipsw made with pwnage.
when u update to the actual ipsw (then jailbreak via blackra1n), this problem does not occur.

UPDATE: I've just installed the updated Ultrasn0w and the carrier issue is fixed! Now shows correct name for o2, 3, Virgin and Vodafone (and others as well I expect, these are just the SMSs I have in stock.)
