iPhone coming to Bell and TELUS November 5
It was about six or seven months ago that Canadian wireless carriers TELUS Mobility and Bell Mobility announced the build-out of a next-generation HSPA+ network, with them making an announcement to consumers in the past month.
However, as early as the end of September, both carriers announced something that was welcomed by some, but was not much of a surprise: they too would carry the iPhone, but the date that they would was not announced at that time. As of this morning, that silence was broken, at least by TELUS, with an email as of this morning announcing that Apple's highly popular smartphone would be hitting their shelves on November 5th. As of the writing of this article, Bell Canada's website did not display a date, and while possibly unrelated, the main TELUS website was down, with their mobility site fully functional.
This move has been welcomed as bringing more competitive pricing to the iPhone in Canada, after the controversy that has been circulating surrounding the price plans made available by Rogers Wireless and their discount brand Fido Solutions, until recently exclusive carriers of the iPhone in Canada. There is on the other hand some skepticism that this is the case, with word in some forums dictating that many may wait until Canadian wireless newcomer WIND mobile launches sometime into the new year.

I was on TELUS' mailing list for when they were getting the iPhone, and just got an email from them this morning. The information is also becoming available from the carriers on their websites, but not on a respectable timeline.
