Not really after unlocking but that feeling that you're "tied" makes me feel...SICK. Guys, one more Q.: succesfully used blackrain (all done within 15 seconds). Now it says : after each reboot run bkrain again. Is that apply for an iPod Touch only or for iPhone as well?

TBH a bit confused. Have installed apps from Cydia and they work fine (mxtube etc), however tried reinstall Navigon (worked on previously 3.0.1) and also Cydia is OK so I think jailbreak is "ON"...Is there any way to find it out? (sorry being noob, but switched from WinMo which was very easy compare to iPhone)...cheers

^ well you can jailbreak using blackra1n but an unlock may be a problem.....

I don't mind unlock as for now. But I think iphone without JB is worth less than 25% of its value. Just don't understand people in Apple...Why they don't unleash the full potential of iPhone??? They could wipe out WinMo,Symbian and all the rest if they (well,some Steve J.) would allow that. Slowly I figured out his tactic: every "new" iphone get a small bit of "upgrade" which is already available from communities like this here (which I am glad to be a part of it).

Just went throught the 1st post again and thing which worries me is this : "So, what is blackra1n? blackra1n is a 30 second ALL device 3.1.2 jailbreak. Even the ipt3, but the ipt3 is tethered. In order to boot it, just rerun blackra1n."
Mine is 3GS 3.1 (5.11.07) and it worked, so if anyone can shed some light on this...

i am having an unlocked iphone 2g (os - 3.0). i used window to jailbreak and unlock the phone. now is it possible to upgrade to 3.1.2, jailbreak and unlock it in windows ?

Hey guys, are there ever going to be a unlock for our iPhone which has the 5.11.07? for I need a phone right now, is this ever going to happen. Can someone please help me I will even pay to have it unlock so that I can use my T-mobile sim card.

It is only tethered for the new iBoot version which was released sometime in week 40. If your phone was manufactured before week 40 you have the old iBoot and an untethered JB

No one with any history of unlocking is seriously working on it. There is always a possibility that a gifted amateur will find something but I wouldn't bank on it.
