Can't say that I'm that disappointed....

Well, I liked that Icy was able to landscape, helped me fix touch issues on the iphone...
WHY DOESN'T CYDIA learn from that at least? And talk about long loading times??? Cydia is extremely slow, but very very useful...
Hate to see any of the beneficial people stepping out of the game, but something tells me that some of the RIPDEV crew will be heard from again...

^My cydia is blazing fast. No issues there.
So I wonder what Ripdevs new project will be. Can't wait to see!

If you view the HTML source code of Ripdev.com, you'll see this interesting comment in there:
Hey there, fellow page source viewer! Unfortunately, there's nothing interesting here, other than that we are very, very sad about the fact the things turned that way. Here's a bit of advise: don't blindly trust your business partners - one day it may turn out that they will steal a year's worth income of the company and create another one, leaving you without possibility to control what you have been creating for several years.

fyi, icy was only a front end for dpkg... it didnt even use apt. it was an inferior product to cydia. There is no need for landscape to install packages. NOW to take down the biggest myth of all regarding icy. the loading times in cydia are much faster. the only reason that icy seemed to load faster is because it DIDN'T refresh the packages at all unless prompted by the user on the sources screen. when it did actually load, it took forever to do so. that being said, it causes alot of issues when packages are changed on the repo.
