Default Quickscroll for Safari and other applications

Let's you scroll through a webpage quicly. Also works in most other apps too. I've not tried it but I think it's made by the same guy who made hClipboard(?)

    To use:
    - In a long web page, triple tap on anywhere (hold one finger and triple tap the other to avoid resizing).
    - A dialog will appear. Drag the green box to scroll around.

    Edit: In Cydia now

Here is the newest release of QuickScroll: QuickScroll

This tweak works really well and I have been using it for a couple hours now.

    Works in landscape also!

    Enjoy!

Does this slow down the system in anyway? Does it lag a little whenever we touch the screen?

    Nice to hear. Thanks.

    A.T.

Thank you for this. I've been waiting for this to come along for a while. This is another little step in making iPhone the most loved deviced on earth!

    Working perfectly for me.

Pleased to report that it also works for Wikipanion, Tweetie, IceTV,and many other application on my phone such as BigOven and The World's Fact Book.

A.T, may I suggest that you change your post title to remove Safari, as it actually works for most applications. Alternatively, say that it is "for application such as Safari".

But does not work on pages in Applestore, Cydia, Photo viewer's thumbnail display.

Hmmm This seems like an interesting concept. I'm not sure how much I would use this but I have noticed on bigger web pages it can be a pain sometimes to have to pan all the way to the bottom, especially if you're trying to get there quickly.

Anyone who just wants to be able to quickly scroll to the bottom of a long web page could use a bookmarklet. I've got info on how to do that on my blog.

Of course, that only works in Safari, and only takes you to the bottom of the page. This works in many apps and can scroll to any position, which is pretty cool!

I wish it was possible to just hold the little slider on the right in Safari to quickly scroll up or down. I would have thought that Apple would have made it work that way. Maybe they will someday. At least they made it possible to tap the status bar to take you back to the top of the page. But this is a nice alternative in the mean time.
