Just got done making it rain, custom version of XP running. First time PurpleRa1n got stuck on "done. waiting for reboot" or something. so I closed it and restarted it, got the GeoHot pic and everything went fine.

Just installed Cydia and restarted my phone.

GOOD 2 GO! So stoked!!!! I'll stay away from Winterboard though

Everything worked great for me with Windows XP SP3 and iTunes 8.2.
Appsync, SBS Settings, BiteSMS, SSH all work

MLB and Slingplayer are crashing when I have Tricker 3G installed but work fine when I uninstall.

For those of you that don"t know what GeoHot is talking about when he says run "freeze." Its basically an app that gets installed to your iphone during the jailbreak. Good Luck everyone.

I'm sure in a few days or so most or these small bugs, glitches, or compatibility issues will be ironed out.

What about the three files we all had to get early in the week? Do we need them for this tool to work?

No, you *may* need them in the future to downgrade back to 3.0. It's possible that you'll never need them, but it's good to have them, just in case.

Ugh! Not working for me. I am on Win7, but heard that it did work for some.

Purplera1n runs, does restart my iphone, says "done, wait for reboot" but never does. Then stuck in DFU mode.

I will now try using an XP VMWare machine....

Its not DFU mode it is recovery mode. The one with the itunes logo on it...I was not able to get it to run on windows 7 or vista but xp it worked the only thing I had to do was when I does not reboot after it says done waiting for reboot, just exit out of purplera1n and restart it..you should then see the picture of geohot
