Yup great job all good here only problem I need to resolve is I updated through itunes and I heard afterwards that I will have lost 500mb because of cydia so with an empty drive my phone tells me I have 14.6gb capacity 14.3gb free, but not sure if I have lost space or how to resolve in fact I am worried when I sync itunes if it will double up on installed apps and conflict so going to untick all apps and tick one at a time.

Hit the restore button rather than the update one, and you should be fine.

I had a bad first experience with redsn0w, it stopped responding (on vista) when the phone was being jailbroken! but it automatically rebooted itself, and i re-jailbroken with redsn0w and all was good

You need to update to itunes 8.2

Also I just finished updating my iPhone 2G to 3.0 using redsn0w..my iPhone is unlocked and jailbroken.
I'd like to give big "THANKS" to the Dev Team for taking the time and coming out with the program so that we can enjoy OS 3.0!! As always..great work guys!!

Does redsnow install the bundles such as cydia and Installer? Coz I read some where that only cydia gets installed. Can anyone who has jailbreaked successfully tell me if they have installer or not. Thanks.
