    Default iPhone 3G[s] Internet Tethering

This guide is for Mac users...

First, look for the latest ATT_US.ipcc bundle using google. Next, if you are using iTunes 8.2, do the following: quit iTunes, then in terminal: defaults write com.apple.iTunes carrier-testing -bool TRUE

Now, open iTunes, press Option+ Look for Updates and select the ATT_US.ipcc file. Once it loads, go to Settings -> General -> Network and set Internet Tethering to ON. Connect your 3G[s] with the USB cable and your Mac should notify you that there is a new network device present. Open System Preferences, go to Networking, apply the changes and now you have working Internet Tethering with the 3G[s]

The point of this post was to let people with the 3G[S] phones know that it works for them as well. Not everything that works for the 3G will work for the 3G[S] ie, jailbreaking.
