Kinda dumb, I have an iPhone 2G that I bought from an ATT store for the full $400 back then and I still don't qualify for the upgrade price. Wtf!

I don't get it. We got our 3G's the DAY they came out and it's saying we aren't eligible for the full discount until 12/12/09.

Anyone who bought the 3g when it came out wouldn't be eligible according to this:
We’re now pleased to offer our iPhone 3G customers who are upgrade eligible in July, August or September 2009 our best upgrade pricing, beginning Thursday, June 18.
Being eligible for an upgrade in July/August/September would imply that we got the 3g 2 years ago from those months...not 1.
