DemoGod To Replace Saurik's Veency?

A while ago a group called plutinosoft released an application for jailbroken iPhones called "ScreenSplitter" which is used to broadcast you're iphone's screen to an external monitor via ipod to Composite/Component cable. Now from the same developer comes an app called "DemoGod". DemoGod is an application for mac that works in conjunction with ScreenSplitter to interact with your iphone/ipod's screen over wifi. This may seem very similar to Jay Freeman's veency that works with any VNC client. DemoGod includes basically all of the features that veency does but picks up where Saurik's app slacks. The one major thing that Veency lacks is speed; Developer Sylvain Rebaud most definitely kept that in mind when creating this one. another thing that veency lacks is a good interface. while you can customize you're VNC client to help Beautify your experience, Demogod already does this with it's iphone like shell. one last cool thing is that DemoGod supports landscape mode, while veency does not. The only real downsides to this app are that there is only a mac version as of now, but it is still in development so windows and linux users keep you're eyes peeled.

Thats pretty sweet. What exactly are the reasons for such an app? Is it purely developmental showcasing (recording previews of apps) or are there other uses?

well that is one of the main reasons but what i have found very convenient is that you can use them for texting with a full keyboard and i like to cheat at the game monster typer

You cant use it to control your iPhone. It is just a presentation application to show your iPhone on your Mac's screen...

Edit: After trying both, if only Veency's capabilities would combine with DemoGod's speed, that would be one sick app...

Does anyone know if there is a Demogod version for PCs yet. I believe the original developer has abandoned Demogod and Screensplitr. However, he did release the source code.

I use Veency (tethered) to my pc where i can fully control the phone with mouse and keyboard.
