Thread: MacBook 4,1 Ram Problem
02-06-2011, 04:10 AM #1MacBook 4,1 Ram Problem
Hi, Im new here.
Recently upgraded my macbook 4,1 ram. I knew it only work with 667mhz ddr2 ram. But I had bought a kingston 2gb 800mhz ddr2 ram.
Luckily, it worked, but only with my original piece of nanya 1gb ddr2 667mhz ram.
When it has only a piece of 2gb ddr2 800mhz ram, it wont boot. But when it has 2 pieces(1gb ddr2 667 and 2gb ddr2 800) it is able to boot.
Anyone know what is the problem i'm encountering? I'm planning to get another piece of 2gb ddr2 667mhz ram tomorrow. I dont want to get a refund as the shop is kinda far.
Sorry for my bad english. But any solution is appreciated. thanks.
