Macbook HardDrive Clicking
hey, i have a intel macbook (old white one) and a few days ago the hard drive started clicking after returning from standby.
i rebooted with the mac os x disk and looked in disk utility which found no hard drive at all :S.
so today took it to apple shop and was about to show him the clicking noise when it booted up perfectly with no clicking noise. and because nothings wrong with it they cant do anything.
my question is has anyone had the same clicking noise and did it resolve itself permanently or did it eventually have a heart attack?

All you had to do is google macbook hard drive clicking to find the thousands of posts about it. These hard drives have a bad habit of clicking, then dying. You're getting close to inevitable failure so you better get that new HD in and get your old one backed up quickly.
