MBP has issues awaking from Sleep Mode.
I purchased my 15" MBP about a month ago and I realized today that my computer wouldn't wake up from sleep mode. I'd lift the cover up to open my MPB and the screen would flicker as if it were turning back on, but doesn't actually turn on. The computer is still running. If I press any key on the keyboard, it will flicker again. I did this for about a minute realizing there was no hope so I did an emergency shutdown and the computer started up like normal. I once again put the computer to sleep and the same issue occurred. The second time though, I looked at the back of the laptop and realized that the Apple wasn't even glowing. I never had this issue before with sleep mode.
I haven't installed any new programs since the last time my sleep mode worked so I'm not sure what's wrong. I don't really want to bring my MBP into Apple at the moment, but if I must, I will.
Other Info:
Mid 2012 15" MBP
OS X 10.8.2
Everything is up to date.
(MOD: This may be in the wrong area, please move if it is, thanks!)

Is your brightness turned up? If it continues, you could have a backlighting issue and that would require Apple repair. You could call Apple and setup an appointment with a Genius to run a hardware scan.
Until the next time… And if I help you out, give me a "Thanks!" Thanks!

After a while, I shut down my laptop, turned it back on a hour later and sleep mode is no longer causing an issue for me. Thanks for the advice guys!
