Exclamation Restore my MacBook to New.??
Ive just bought a MacBook from a store that was selling it 200 cheaper because it was a return from a customer.
Ive got the MacBook home and it still has the details of the previous owner on it!
When ive tried to restore the MacBook, by putting the Snow Leopard Discs in, it says its restored
but, when it restarts, it has the name and enter password of the previous customer..

How do i restore so its a clean restore, so i can enter my details into it..??

    Thanks in advance!

Just create a new account. Make it into an admin account. Make the current one (the previous owner's) into a regular account. Restart the comp. Delete the other account after.

Edit: Although I'm not understanding why it's not putting the unit into factory settings when you are using a Snow Leopard restore disk...

    Thanks for the speedy reply!
Wouldnt that still leave folders called (The last users name)
As it would on a Windows system, if i did the same thing.?
    Cheers.

I don't believe so. I just did this on a MacBook before I sold it. Named the new account Macintosh and that's what it is now.
