Default MacBook Pro Ambiant Light Sensor
    Hey everybody,

I would just like to know where the light sensor on my MacBook Pro is. Is it that little black bar on the front, next to the white flashing light. Or is it the large black thing on the back of it?

The light sensor is the camera at the top on your screen. Put your finger over it and it will dim your screen and the backlight on your keyboard will turn on. The black rectangle on the bottom is for remotes.

My MacBook Pro didn't come with a remote. Are you talking about the $19 Apple Remote?

Yup. The black rectangle is just for the Apple Remote that doesn't come with it. So light sensor = camera and black rectangle = pointless unless you purchase the remote
