2008 MacBook pro upgrade

I've got a 2008 MacBook pro last model before uninody. I need to upgrade to a larger hd. I've done a lot of reading and I'm leaning towards the my passport drive. Any ideas or suggestions on a specific drive? I'd love 1tb since I do a lot with movies and music but I've read that maybe the 12.5mm doesn't fit my model.

Any help or ideas would be great.

You can put 2 640 gig drives in the machine if you want to ditch your optical drive and pick up an optibay. Or you should go to eshop.macsales.com and pick an OWC On the go pro firewire 800 drive, i have the 500 GB model and love it.
