Default Consolidating files from many harddrives ?
hey I've been trying for a while to get this done...

i have just set up an ssd+hdd on my mbp. ive also got 2 500GB hdd's filled with movies. i was wondering how i could create a movies folder (on the ssd with all the system files) which would act as an alias or simlink to the internal hdd+external hdd's movies folders. so i would be able to see all of my movies under one folder and plug in the appropriate hdd when needed?

any help or suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated!

    thanks !

If you hold the Command & Option key, you can drag you movies from your HDDs to your SSD and create alias. That way you'll see aliases of the movie files and be able to open them. Symbolic links are better if you move the original movies around, but aren't as easy to create. Make sure you don't move your movies on your HDDs after the aliases are created. Put them in a permanent "Movies" folder or something like that.
Until the next time… And if I help you out, give me a "Thanks!" Thanks!
