    You can change them using an application called CandyBar.

    With a little bit of reading you can change your icons without paying 20$ for candybar.

    True, I did it manually before, but you will need Xcode installed (it comes with Icon Composer which you will need) and Icns2Rsrc to convert the .icns file in order to change the icon. CandyBar is a faster way of doing it and very simple.
