I am tripple booting ubuntu windows 7 and os x. I use refit check it out I don't use parallels because of battery issues. I don't like os running inside os so refit works best for me

I used to have jolicloud on mine. and 10.04 ubuntu. I did it the ghetto way cause I was lazy and it worked lol. What I did was use boot camp installer and insert the linux disk then load boot from it and install. Booting on my computer became a PITA but it all worked out
