Bacardi just wanted to say excellent work on the new Uniaw widget. I get all the cool benefits of Uniaw but without the hit to my performance. It runs perfect with no noticeable slowdown. Fantastic.

so just creating a shortcut, that sounds like a copy/paste trick. I will play with it a bit. but thanks for the tip my bro

yea confirmed, you are actually creating another app when you do that. duplicating the app from your application folder. so when you get rid of it from your desktop it will not have your recent information. because it is a different version of the same app. probably not a good idea at all. if a shortcut could be done, that would be more intelligent my friend.

yeah thats right.. you can always make a Alias.. but doesnt look good on the setup the the black arrow better copy&paste i have the apps i usualy use.. much faster.. i feel like modding a phone on a bigger screen when i did that haha 😁

your right, its creating the all the app on the desktop.. but there are parallel.. should save your recent information.. works fine for me.. don't know about the Maverick version

I got you. well if you want to do that. you are better off dragging the ap out of your application folder until you get tired of it, then drag it back in when you get done with the set up. making duplicate applications is not a wise move. I have ran into some trouble with having duplicate apps on my mac before. just saying bro

try Launchpad Icon and you will see , I've test to delete my apps from the desktop and still working the same from my Launchpad
no issue at all.. your right is not recommended.. just having fun lol

not all the application will work because of the application path

Edit : got back to Normal setup

Yea. But apps in your launch pad are connected to the apps in your application folder. If you copy paste an app to your desktop. And open the new app on your desktop. After opening the app in apps folder. There should be 2 icons in launch pad for the same app. I have run into this issue before bro. I had 2 versions of 2 different apps. They were not on my desktop. But in my downloads folder. And I was running both at desperate times. Cause the download folder version was on my dock. And periodically I will open the apps folder and start an app that way. So I had differs t content In what I thought was the same app. Major confusion for about 2 weeks for me

Point is, I like this. I like having apps on my screen. Other than on the dock. Like we theme our phones. So maybe we can make some alias icons in line with our themes icons. Not complaining. Looking for a solution to further Pimp My Mac. Lol
