Good Writer Software

Hello! I was wondering if anyone knew anything about some good software for Macs for writers. I write a lot and I have used Scriever (or however you spell it, it's been a while) and I loved it. But it was like 50 dollars for a license. I'm not willing to pay that for this kind of unneeded software, even of it was a nice touch. Does anyone know of any FREE writer software?

I don't know of any free writing software, but upon a quick look at the Mac App Store, there's writing software that's pretty cheap, around $2-$8.

I see what you mean, but I'm not really looking for something like Word. I'm looking for software specifically for writing books/poems/other works like that.

Do you know what I mean?
