Default Kernel Panic error when Downloading

I'm running a Windows Vista Ultimate Virtual Machine using Parallels 5. The problem is every time i try to download anything what so ever within the Virtual Machine, I get the "You need to restart your computer. Hold down the Power Button until it turns off, then press the Power button again" error. Kernel Panic. I can't even use Windows Update. As soon as it starts to download the update, i get the kernel panic error. thanks!

it seems to be only when i download .exe files in general. I tried downloading a few different .exe files like iTunes, Firefox, and Skype, and every time i clicked download, it gives me that error. I'm doing this on the OSX side, not within the Virtual Machine.
