I use disk utility, select the disk, then new image. If it is CSS protected then i use fairmount w/disk util.

if you had the physical disk to use handbrake to install on your harddrive then where is the dvd? Otherwise, I would suggest buying a dvi cable to plug your computer into your tv and watch from your itunes m4v library. Probably a cheaper alternative and less time consuming.

i have a macbook though, so no cable exist (that I know of) to go to my TV.

I once owned the Macbook and I was thinking of cinema display hook up. Hmm its difficult enough to convert a movie into an m4v file. Solution: If you own a ipod Nano or Classic buy the red yellow white plug sync all the movies you need to the ipod and plug the 3 wires into the back of your tv and play from the ipod.
