so im trying to watch an MKV file. I downloaded MSplayer OSX and VLC, the msplayer lags like a mofo, and the VLC plays fine but halfway through it just quits the program at the exact same spot
wtf is going on?

VLC does not handle .mkv well at all. Great player but it totally fails there. I recommend NicePlayer.
