I am using office 2008 students edition on a macbook and all the office formats work perfectly for me! It's much better than iWork and gives a true feel of Office too!

Thanks I really want to get a MacBook as my next laptop and really get to know them so I can add it to my catalog of services for my business.

Office 2007 (Windows) and 2008 (Mac) share exactly the same formats for the files they save, so yes they are compatible.
