Transmission - the ultimate Mac torrent
Transmission

Transmission is HANDS DOWN the best torrent software for the Mac. It's also FREE.
You can use the info button to see info on the file, the peers, and the tracker. It's the most lightweight of all the torrent programs, and the easiest to operate.
AND FREEEEEEEEEEE

LimeWire is still my choice as fastest, easiest to use, and overall the best.
It does it all for free as well.A Thanks is always nice =]

You are slightly uninformed my friend. Transmission is a bittorrent client. Limewire uses a completely different P2P distribution technology (an old, slightly decrepit one at that). While it has added support for torrents, it is probably the most limiting of all the clients out there. If you are still downloading from Limewire, you have lots of discovering to do!
For more information on how bittorrent works, check out THIS link.
As far as clients go, Transmission is also my choice. Vuze has become rather clumsy and while it has more features, it doesn't nearly match the lack of memory footprint that Transmission requires. Transmission FTWLast edited by blocker85; 09-05-2008 at 06:39 AM.

I'm glad you said it, because I nearly bit my tongue off holding back. Using limewire is like using AOL 5.0, and nasty..... man is that a nasty place to be.
