You are slightly uninformed my friend. Transmission is a bittorrent client. Limewire uses a completely different P2P distribution technology (an old, slightly decrepit one at that). While it has added support for torrents, it is probably the most limiting of all the clients out there. If you are still downloading from Limewire, you have lots of discovering to do!

As far as clients go, Transmission is also my choice. Vuze has become rather clumsy and while it has more features, it doesn't nearly match the lack of memory footprint that Transmission requires. Transmission FTW

I'm glad you said it, because I nearly bit my tongue off holding back. Using limewire is like using AOL 5.0, and nasty..... man is that a nasty place to be.
