30-Day Return Policy Shortened on Apple iPhones
In recent years, Apple iPhone customers who purchase directly from Apple Retail and Online Stores have 30 days to return their devices, for any reason. The only requirement was that returned devices had to include all original accessories and had to be undamaged- which not to mention, are very reasonable guidelines.
However, according to an internal document by Apple, starting March 13th, they plan on changing the iPhone return policy to only 14 days from purchase. Although the plan is to be carried out on March 13th, Apple.com has already changed its return policy. Other products bought from Apple are already subject to the two-week return policy.
The prior 30-day policy from Apple was very different to its carrier partners who only offered a two-week return window. During that time, customers were allowed to return the iPhone within 30 days of purchase, but after the initial 14 days, customers would still be stuck for the Early Termination Fees (ETF) or other penalties from the wireless carriers.
It has been noted in the document, that Apple is making this policy change in effort to have only one universal return policy for all products and to match their carrier partner’s two-week policy.

Got to love the EU, 6 month to return electrical goods, if they don't do as you need. Ie, not fit for purpose.
& that's because companies do you out of you hard earned cash. 30 days is not enough time to test & see if a device is suitable for you lifestyle or functions without error.

Oh brother! Try this with a car! Drive home in a brand new car and return the same day to exchange it...not gonna happen. Returning a product, electronic or otherwise, especially a couple weeks after the date of purchase, is just silly. Any opportunity to return a product that can no longer be sold as new, and the original profit margin realized, should be appreciated by the customer. Where is personal accountability in all this?! It is the responsibility of the customer to research a product to determine if it meets their needs, ahead of time!
Btw, I do, of course, advocate an acceptable warranty with an option for return if the same problem consistently occurring.

I have to agree 14 days is the standard. And most people buying from apple know the quality and have little to no problems so most consumers won't be returning their devices. (Plus you still get the 1 year warranty.)
