Default Apple Begins Selling Black Version of its Thunderbolt Cables

On Thursday, Apple has begun to sell black versions of its Thunderbolt cables on its online store. The new black color is available in both the 2 meter configuration and the 0.5 meter configuration, and offers the same functionality as the white version of the cable. The two-meter configuration is $39, and the 0.5 meter configuration is $29.

Apple still sells the white version of its Thunderbolt cable on its online store; users can choose between white or black using a special selector button in their Web browsers.

The new black Thunderbolt cable goes along nicely with Apple's new 2013 Mac Pro, which was made available for order via Apple's online store Thursday morning. The black color matches the color of the Mac Pro, which has Thunderbolt 2 ports that the user can take advantage of for daisy-chaining storage drives, displays, and more.

To order your black Thunderbolt cables, you can head over to Apple's online store Web site via this link.

I buy the Belkin cables. They come in black and are much more durable than Apples.
