According to reports out of the far east coming to light on Monday morning, Apple may turn to Quanta for the construction of two new Apple products next year.

Digitimes says Quanta has received orders for Apple's "large-size iPad" for mass production in the second half of 2014. Additionally, Quanta is believed to be battling Inventec and Foxconn Electronics to secure iWatch orders.

Apple has been separating its orders among multiple ODMs recently and has given some of its iPad and iPhone orders to Compal Communications and Wistron, respectively.
We're told, however, that it's already a done deal when it comes to the manufacturer responsible for building Apple's 12.9-inch iPad. Quanta is squarely in charge of manufacturing the device, one source tells Digitimes. "The sources pointed out that Apple's large-size iPad will mainly target the education and enterprise markets," the report adds.

Although mass production of the iWatch is yet to commence, component makers "have already started the pilot production."
