Apple Reportedly Tasks Boston Crew with Improving Siri
We may finally know why Apple has been toiling in secrecy around Boston.
The powers-that-be in Cupertino have reportedly tasked their team in Beantown with boosting the quality and functionality of Siri, the iOS-powered voice-driven personal assistant.
Apple has assembled a small team of notable names in speech technology and is looking to expand those efforts in the Boston area, industry sources tell xconomy. Based on their online job profiles, we can say that members of the Apple speech team here are working on Siri, the company’s voice-activated virtual assistant. Details beyond that are hard to come by, however, even for others in the field.
As work continues on iOS 7 in preparation for its presumable late summer/early fall launch, we're bound to hear more and more reports about Apple's efforts to improve upon everything from Siri to its abysmal first-try at a mapping service.

Movie "Ted" impression: Haaaaada haaaada
