Apple recently released a new firmware update for the mid 2012 MacBook Air recently that helps to address problems with the device recovering from a crash. The release notes state that the update addresses a “storage firmware issue that, in rare cases, may cause a system to fail to recover from a crash.”

Those of you interested in downloading the MacBook Air Flash Storage Firmware Update 1.0 can do so from Apple’s website or by using Software Update. The update weighs in at 1.69 MB and requires OS X 10.7.5 or OS X 10.8.3 so be sure you meet the requirements!
