Dish May Steal Sprint Away From Softbank
On Monday, news came to light that U.S. satellite television provider Dish has put forward a $25.5 billion bid for Sprint Nextel.
Should Dish absorb the nation's fourth largest carrier, it would come as a significant and largely unexpected loss to Japanese communications firm Softbank, which had been considering a $20.1 billion investment in return for a 70% stake in Sprint.
It was also the boldest step yet by Dish Chairman Charlie Ergen, who has bought billions of dollars worth of wireless spectrum in the last few years and has been seeking some sort of deal to make use of the airwaves.
According to several industry analysts speaking with Reuters, the effort by Dish to merge with Sprint could spark a huge bidding war with Softbank.

Please let Dish get this, there is so much more potential for growth for both companies with the merger.
Softbank taking over Sprint the company would still do the things it is doing now, soon after it will be up for auction.
