Foster + Partners To Work on New Apple Store Design
It's no secret that Apple appreciates the look of luxury. For that reason, it won't come as a shocker that the venerable Cupertino, California-based iDevice maker has reportedly tapped Norman Foster's prestigious architecture firm to revamp its thriving line of retail stores.
Marketing Magazine reported Wednesday that Foster + Partners will help Apple take its luxury looks to the next level.
In the past, Apple has worked with rival architecture firm 8 Inc for its trailblazing stores, with 8 Inc responsible for designing its flagship 5th Avenue and Regent Street stores.
When asked for comment this week, a rep for Foster + Partners said that "any project for Apple is confidential and therefore we are unable to comment." But sources close to the firm say the architecture visionaries there will soon give Apple's retail presence a subtle but stunning makeover.
