Samsung Getting Apple-Style Mini-Store from Best Buy
In another clear illustration of Samsung's emerging prominence in mobile technology, Best Buy is reportedly going to give the Galaxy S4-maker it's own Apple-style in-store mini-store.
"Starting next month," writes Russell Holly of Geek.com, "you may find that Best Buy employees are much more inclined to offer you a Samsung product from their new Samsung section in the mobile department."
Sources tell Holly that the first wave of high traffic Best Buy locations are gearing up to remove two aisles next to their mobile department. Why? It's all prep-work for the installation of a new Samsung store.
This new section will be dressed in large Samsung signage and offer custom demo stations for many of Samsung’s products. Locations with the new section will be issuing special training sessions for employees in the mobile department, focusing heavily on how to show off Samsung-specific features.

When it comes to models, Apple is a show stopper. They ARE the model for consumer electronics. Surprised it took this long for other big companies to follow suite. I like how they are taking a smaller risk by using existing suppliers to house there kiosks..smart move in case they fail. You didn't buy a building or buildings..you rented space. I'll be sure to walk by with my Apple products in hands smiling and whistling :]

The worst thing is listening to Best Buy employees try to sell a Mac or most anything. I have stopped an employee in the middle of talking to a customer and corrected them many times.

Best Buy used to be a really nice place to buy electronics--lately they are a joke. one best buy store in particular ( the one downtown Bklyn) should be closed down. the store is in a prime location, close to everything and the store layout is really nice--the employees need to have their asses kicked.
