Default Former Retail Chief Explains Why He Didn't Work Out at Apple

With its retail presence of paramount importance to Apple, it's understandable that the company doesn't take appointments to leadership positions within this department very lightly.

This week, a former executive who recently lead Apple's retail division opened up about his release from the company and why he simply "didn't fit with the business."

In a new interview with The Independent, John Browett says his termination from Apple was "probably the best thing that happened to me" following six months in this key position. A talented executive and retail visionary, more than a handful of former colleagues confess, Browett has since become the CEO of a U.K.-based fashion chain called Monsoon Accessorize.

While at Apple, Browett is "said to have angered Apple workers by cutting staff and working hours within stores." He claims his time at Apple and subsequent dismissal, however, helped make him a "much kinder person."

"It made things clear about how I am and what I am like to work with, and it will make me much better at my job in the future," Browett said in the interview.
