Apple Reportedly Prepping TV-Related Media Event for March

Apple will hold its first media event of 2013 next month to unveil "something big" within the realm of Apple's TV aspirations.
Although we're told the announcement will most likely be pertinent to Apple TV rather than the still-rumored iTV, Peter Misek of Jefferies says Apple will hold a media event in March as a means to introduce developers to the changes on tap for Apple's anticipated relaunch of the Apple TV later this year.
"Channel checks indicate Apple has a product event in March that is Apple-TV related (possibly an iTV SDK introduction)," Misek informed clients this morning. "We think a Sep/Oct iTV launch is being targeted."
If the refreshed Apple TV comes in September, Misek expects Apple to sell somewhere in the neighborhood of 2 million units in the final quarter of 2013.

If it isnt about the "iTV", then I'm curious as to what would be so breakthrough on the current Apple TV side to warrant an entire event for it since the previous one was almost a side note during one of their other events.

Exactly. Install App Store and we have a universal device for HDTV computer.
HBOGO just added AirPlay and that action might coincide installing appletv with apps.

If the AppStore is installed..its GAME OVER for all other streamers as they don't have 1/4 of the apps Apple has to date. I would rather see the iTV or iHDTV but i'll take what I can get.

Apple TV with harddrive or internal memory to store stuff and apps store! Would be enough for me maybe even a browser!
