DICE Game Studio Looking to Hire Engineer to Help Port Frostbite Engine to Mac OS X

The Sweden-based game studio, DICE, which is known for games such as Mirror’s Edge and Battlefield, recently posted a job advertisement for a Mac OS X Engineer to work on the company’s Frostbite gaming engine. This is seemingly good news as it may be signs of the game studio seeking to port their popular Frostbite gaming engine over to the Mac OS X, allowing more games to be available to run natively.
For those of you who are unaware, the Frostbite engine was developed by EA’s Digital Illusions CE (DICE). The engine is currently used on Windows, PlayStation 3, Wii U and Xbox 360 gaming platforms to help run various games. Although it was originally created to be used for first-person-shooter games, it’s been adapted to power other gaming genres as well including racing and real-time strategy.
Unfortunately the job posting doesn’t mention much of anything like what it’s looking for and why. It says the following:
The listing does ask for 5 or more years of software engineering with a focus on OS X, Open GL rendering programming experience and knowledge of porting Windows games to the Mac OS X. With the Mac OS X gaining more popularity among consumers, many people continue to request that games be made available for play on the operating system as installing bootcamp, running virtual machines, or trying to get a port to work for many games is more of a hassle than anything else.Frostbite is looking for developers who want to join us in taking our engine to the next level. You will be part of a team focusing on bringing Frostbite to Mac and work closely with game team customers and the Frostbite team to deliver an engine as great on OS X as it is on Windows and traditional console platforms.
Are you excited to hear about game developers looking to support Apple's Mac OS X?

DICE needs to look at iOS, not the Mac OS.

You aren't forced to run on Ubuntu. Porting is a complex process. I doubt it will happen..
