I literally live a block away from this store. I heard a few min after it happened people went back to looking at the idevices. Typical Chicago. We've seen it all...

Go look up the definitions of "irony" and "coincidence" and then promptly insert your foot into your mouth. That the car is a Lincoln and that the incident occurred in Lincoln Park is merely a coincidence, not irony.

    Merely coincidence.

I don't blame people for not knowing though. I glossed right over it at first. We over-use or miss-use a lot of terms these days. Irony is just one example.
"Totally" is another. It is used in place of all synonyms today.
And it was definitely an odd coincidence.

I don't blame people either, I blame Alanis Morissette

It's always entertaining to watch the idiots that join the debate with their worthless "yes it is" comments while being too lazy to go look up the definition, as if typing "irony" into a Google search is the hardest thing in the world to do. The gratuitous misuse of so many old words just reflects how bad our education systems have truly become.
