Apple Copies Xerox Talent for New Corporate Controller

Apple has secured a mighty big fish for its massive talent pond. Word came Friday that Apple has hired the chief financial officer (CFO) at Xerox to serve as Apple's new corporate controller.
Reuters confirmed that the Xerox executive named Luca Maestri will officially join Apple at some point after the transitional leadership phase at Xerox is finished next month. In the mean time, Xerox said it had "started an external search for a new CFO."
Maestri has only been with Xerox for two years. He hired in as CFO after similarly serving as chief financial officer at Nokia Siemens Networks since 2008.
In his new position at Apple, Maestri - an economics guru who graduated from Luiss University in Rome in 1988 - will report directly to Apple's present CFO, Peter Oppenheimer, who remains in charge of multiple facets of Apple's financial duties.
