Rumor: Foxconn Testing Apple Television Set Designs
In what may come as the last big rumor out of Asia's manufacturing and supply chain before the end of 2012, speculation arose Wednesday that Foxconn is playing an active role in the development of what could be Apple's biggest product launch in 2013.
According to a report from Taiwan's Central News Agency, Foxconn (aka Hon Hai Precision) is working with Apple to perfect the optimal designs for the rumored but widely anticipated Apple HDTV that will most likely see the light of day within the next twelve months.
Hon Hai, the world's largest contract electronics maker, has declined to respond to the reports, saying that it never comments on specific business deals with any single client.
As far as hardware details are concerned, the report only indicates that the TV displays range in sizes of 46-55 inches.
