Apple in Violation of Three MobileMedia Patents
A significant blow was delivered to Apple Thursday as a U.S. District Court determined that Apple's iPhone infringes on several patents owned by MobileMedia Ideas.
Jurors in Wilmington, Delaware, deliberated for about four hours, Bloomberg confirmed this morning, after a week-long trial. “We’re very pleased,” MobileMedia CEO Larry Horn commented after the verdict. “We think it’s justified.”
In its complaint, MobileMedia contended it would suffer “irreparable injury” if Apple was allowed to use the patented inventions in its iPhone without paying royalties. “We’re not in the litigation business” and just want to license the patents, Horn said.
MobileMedia, which is owned by Sony, Nokia and MPEG LA, retains some 300 patents related to consumer electronics features.

Wolfs are barking louder and much closer to the bone. I don't believe these violations, Apple is not stupid and I sure did all the homework before.

The lawsuit is not ridiculous however asking for royalties is way more than they deserve.

they don't deserve royalties, but they should work out a licensing deal

The only growing employment sector in the US, become a frickin lawyer. This is ridiculous, a patent to have a camera in a phone? Apple is the only one with a camera in a phone? I placed a patent today for air.....ALL WILL BOW TO MY PATENT(and pay), or not breathe.
