New Apple Stores on Three Continents Opening This Weekend

Apple is heralding the grand opening of several new Apple retail stores this week... across three different continents.

As Apple's global retail reach ramps up for 2013, the Cupertino, California-based iDevice maker confirms that this weekend will bring with it the launch of stores in Hong Kong, China, Australia, and Sweden.

Based on information compiled by the folks at ifoAppleStore.com, here's what we can tell you about the openings in question:

(1) Apple's Fountain Gate store in Australia will open on Saturday.

(2) Apple's MixC store will also open for business Saturday in Chengdu, China.

(3) Not to be outdone in Asia, Apple's Causeway Bay store in Hong Kong will open this weekend as well.

(4) Finally, Apple's Emporia store in Sweden will open Saturday morning for the first time.

This weekend's store openings will bring the grand total of Apple Stores around the world to 390 - a number that will explode well beyond 400 during the first half of 2013 alone.
