Adobe will reportedly finally update Photoshop CS6 to support Apple’s Retina Display Macbooks next month.

The announcement will likely come at Adobe’s Create Now Live event scheduled for Dec 11. Macotakara was the first to notice Adobe’s promotional materials for the event appear to show a 15-inch MacBook Pro with Retina Display running Photoshop CS6 in glorious full Retina resolution.

Adobe announced in August they would support Apple’s newest laptops sometime in the fall. Well, December 11 is technically fall, but considering the number of other updates Adobe has pushed out since the August announcement, it feels like Retina Display owners have received just a little shafting.

Adobe has been mum on whether any other applications in their Creative Suite will be receiving the appropriate Retina update in the near or distant future. Anyone who utilizes Adobe CS6 knows how well the programs interface with each other, and moving from one to another with Retina Display support being spotting instead of across the board is unfortunate.
