Cook, Obama Discuss Economic Challenges

Over the weekend, Apple CEO Tim Cook was contacted by President Barack Obama as the executive branch picks the brains of the business community. It's all part of the Federal Government's effort to avoid going over the so-called ominous "fiscal cliff."
The White House is calling these talks part of an aggressive "outreach on the need to find a balanced deficit-reduction solution that protects the middle class and continues to move our economy forward."
The CEOs confirmed to have been in contact with POTUS, in addition to Tim Cook, were Jamie Dimon of JPMorgan Chase, Jim McNerney of Boeing, and Craig Jelinek of Costco. As of this writing, it isn't clear exactly what was discussed or what advice Cook and the others may have given the president and his team.
In hindsight, this latest round of talks with corporate giants is nothing new for this Administration and the present Congress. Earlier this year, Tim Cook had a one-on-one with Rep. John Boehner, Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives. All told, Cook remains on the "short list" of leaders that the White House and Congress routinely turn to for counsel in times of economic uncertainty.

Obama should tell cook to stop being a ***** and make some new and exciting products because frivolous lawsuits will get you nowhere--then kindly ask Tim if he could borrow his S3 charger to charge up his Note II.

Really?
How is that by ANY stretch of the imagination racist? Obama is as bad economically as GW in my opinion, so I don't see how race has anything to do with it. Throwing around the word "racist" so easily and frequently when it doesn't apply means the term is rapidly becoming meaningless. Thanks for further degrading the English language.

The economy was messed up before Obama? Yes it was. BUT! It wasn't as screwed up. Now, I wish I was complaining about the $2+ gas prices when Bush was in office as opposed to the $3+ dollars a gallon during Obama's so called "Change".

Look what you did mmi. I hope you're proud you brought politics here that would inevitably lead to flame wars. I mean I can handle the constant lawsuits that you put up daily and start flame wars but really politics? Next you'll be putting up religious controversy

So, according to Jokadaking, if u didn't vote for Obama, then ur racist! That's a lot of intelligence, right there! LOL! Is that why he was re-elected?!?!
The 'racists' obviously see that Obama made this country worse than Bush...plain & simple.
...or maybe we're racist against Tim Cook...IDK, now I'm confused!Last edited by thazsar; 11-19-2012 at 10:23 PM.

Instead of blaming the POTUS, you should ask your Tea Party activists and those right wing Republicans to stop around every time POTUS was trying to fix the economy last 4 years. You DO know those majority representatives sitting in congress ARE white, don't you? They hate the BLACK POTUS rules the nation and telling them what's best for the country.
What Obama was trying and are trying to do is exactly what Ronald Reagan was doing back in the 80s.
The difference of the two is .... The current Potus is NOT white. That's why they have been giving him a hard time for the past 4 years.
Go back to school and learn history again.
PS: Be ready for Clinton on 2016 - She will be number 45! Another Democrat will run this country and continue shaping the Obamacare and tackling the tax loop holes, so those 1% Americans will keep getting taxed properly for their "Capital Gain" income tax.
CLINTON 2016!Last edited by Simon; 11-21-2012 at 05:36 PM.
