Apple Projected to Sell 300 Million iPhones, iPads in 2013

Apple is projected to sell a combined total of nearly 300 million iPhones and iPads in 2013. That's according to the latest expert testimony and estimates from leading Canaccord Genuity analyst Michael Walkley.
When it comes to calling things correctly with Apple, Walkley is pretty amazing. As Fortune reported late last week, Walkley's quarterly sales projections and estimates last quarter were more accurate than any other analyst on Fortune's watch list.
So for 2013, Walkley thinks Apple will sell just north of 100 million iPads (this includes the iPad mini, of course) and close to 200 million more iPhones before next year comes to a close. The big winner this quarter was Canaccord Genuity's T. Michael Walkley, whose estimate for Apple's bottom line ($9.67) was right on the money and whose forecast for iPhone unit sales (26.92 million) was pretty darn close (actual sales: 26.91 million).
All told, Samsung and Apple will likely continue to be the biggest players in mobile for the foreseeable future. With a comparable 300 million devices sales predicted for Samsung next year, Apple and Samsung may jointly control more than half of the entire smartphone market for 2013.

But they won't ship until 2014.

All the more reason why the courts should not allow Apple and Samsung to use lawsuits to gain the advantage. If its just these two titans and one falls due to lawsuits we end up with a really bad mess.
