I can't wait to check it out.
I hope Netflix has been updated as well. It's so awful at the moment.. definitely not something I would imagine Apple would put their name behind.

Any word on a jb for this update? Possible that the current jb is still capable or not a chance? Just don't want to lose my remote hd control and xbmc access is essential.

I've been running the beta of this for ages. Its better than the previous firmware.
I like the way you can move icons around and remove then totally.
I've removed all the unnecessary icons that are useless outside USA. I have about 6 icons left.

The only problem I have found is I can no longer highlight the "Movies" icon and hold down the select button to put Apple TV to sleep, where i could before. Is it just me or everyone?

It's actually possible to downgrade an ATV2 without saving the blobs. You have to log in with the admin account on your Mac, enable viewing of hidden files, and change a hosts file. When I first got my ATV2 around Christmas of last year there was not yet a JB for the firmware that came preinstalled, so I did all this and downgraded to a jailbreakable version.
It makes me wonder if the same thing can be done with an iPhone. Here's the thread on firecore's site telling you how to do it.
**EASY**Downgrade to 4.3 firmware on apple tv 2 | FireCore
As for me, I'll probably never upgrade my ATV2 unless they come out with some freaking awesome new features. Reinstalling XBMC along with all the plugins is too much of a hassle for me to upgrade for a few measly features like 5.1 offers.
