Default Apple Sends Out Invites to Developers to Begin Testing OS X 10.8.2

Even as Apple continues to seed builds of OS X 10.8.1 to developers, the Cupertino California company has begun inviting developers to test the following version of OS X Mountain Lion, identified as OS X 10.8.2. Select developers were notified via email that they were invited to participate in the “next Mountain Lion Software Update seed project, 10.8.2,” according to the people familiar with the note. Developers who ended up accepting the invitation from Apple will be the first to test the update to Mountain Lion. The email received read the following:

    Join us for 10.8.2!

You are invited to participate in the next Mountain Lion Software Update seed project, 10.8.2. Apple will provide you with the pre-release software. Once builds are available, we ask that you install and test each build to help us make sure that this is a high quality release!
Although Apple is likely to push out OS X 10.8.1 fairly quicker in order to release fixes for major issues to users as quickly as possible (such as battery life issues), the company is likely to spend more time on OS X 10.8.2 to address other issues that require attention, but are not of critical importance. As of right now, no release date for OS X 10.8.1 has been announced and new features for OS X 10.8.2 have not been identified.

Turn your graphics down, any game can drain a laptop battery in 30 mins.

Haven't been on 10.8.2 long enough to know if it will help my battery yet, but I definitely noticed a drop from lion to mountain lion. Already had Facebook integration for awhile so nothing new there, but having iMessages send from my phone number instead of my email is extremely convenient.
