I understand the charge for $20 from leopard to lion but lion to a lion? like someone said its nothing but a service pack upgrade. Whats next, is apple going to charge to upgrade for ios6? or iOS7?

Apple actually brought the price down a little. But think about it. A phone to a computer is a big difference. A computer can do a lot more things. It makes sense to have a free mobile os, then have a paid computer os. Plus to upgrade on windows is a lot more..

The person who said that was a troll. Last time I checked a service pack never came with a couple hundred new features.

LOL..Oh wait..Windows 8 how much again over $150!!!!..laughable. When has Microsoft EVER made a OS that WASN'T affordable? how bout NEVER!!!!. That's one hat i give to Apple sure their computers cost alot..but software is fairly inexpensive on most common stuff.BUT..you can bet your Apple bottoms i'm upgrading in t-minus 20mins counting from my post.

really complaining about $20 for all the features added to make the mac even better?? don't upgrade then for me I can't wait just got a new mac book pro retina and its free for me even if it wasn't I would pay $50 to make my mac up to date and have all the new crap.

so not only are you willing to overpay for a laptop, you are saying you are willing to overpay for software also! 20 bucks is not a deal breaker but saying you'd pay 50 is saying you'd pay 10 bucks for a double cheeseburger
