Apple Moving Ahead with $300 Million Austin, Texas Campus Expansion
As MMi reported back on March 9th, 2012, Apple has for some time now been planning to spend upwards of $300 million on a new Austin, Texas-based campus expansion.
After hitting more than a few snags along the journey, the fact that Apple will create 3,600 new jobs allowed the tech giant to reach favorable terms with local officials regarding the creation and maintenance of this sprawling proposed facility. In return for the new job-making machine coming to down, Apple will receive approximately $37 million in tax incentives over the next ten years.
With all the kinks worked out, on Wednesday morning, news surfaced that Apple has begun the process of building its dazzling new campus. The first hurdle Apple has jumped is land acquisition. Not surprisingly, Apple needs a whole lot of space to bring this campus to fruition. And a lot of real estate is exactly what Apple just purchased.
Records at the Travis County Clerk’s Office show that McShane Development Co. LLC, through its Riata Vista LP entity, sold three tracts of land to Apple on June 21. The exhibits indicate that the land is in the Milwood Section 20 subdivision near Parmer Lane and Delcour Drive.

Can't wait to see this place when it's all done! I'll have to make the trip for its Grand Opening (if there is one)!
