More Insight on New MacBook Series Coming at WWDC
With the countdown clock rapidly ticking away ahead of Monday's WWDC kick-off, a growing number of insiders close to the top at Apple say that a new MacBook series is definitely coming out of the annual convention this year.
The latest talk confirms a totally new MacBook model that is said to be a fusion or hybrid of the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro. Supposedly, there will be no disc drive and the sizes will span 13 to 15 inches.
The source of this confirmation is Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI - a very credible and reliable source in the Apple news space. Kuo told our friends at Apple Insider today that he expects that the new MacBook will run buyers $1,199 for the low-end 13-inch model.
He expects Apple to possibly dump the full slate of MacBook Pros if the new series to be introduced next week takes off and resonates positively with users in the coming months. In the short term, however, there will likely be no shortage of new products to keep Apple fans occupied while the company assesses its product line for 2013.
All told, more than a dozen new Macs - which would include MacBooks, iMacs and Mac Pros - could be inbound after WWDC.

I think if Apple really does bulk up all their laptops and Mac Pro we'll see a lot of sales. I also think they'll make the next iPhone everything we've wanted it to be and more.

I'm most exited for new iMacs, even though I just bought one earlier this year. Gorgeous.
